Gary Braasch delivers a lecture titled: "How Global Warming is Changing the World from Pole to Pole-- What We can do about it and how fast?"

Braasch is a:
* Globally recognized climate change photographer
* Recipient of Ansel Adams Award for Conservation Photography
* Fellow, board member of the International League of Conservation Photographers

He has documented the ongoing research and climate effects in 22 nations of the world through beautiful photographs. His book, Earth Under Fire, was recently selected as one of the most important environmental books from John Muir to the present by Vanity Fair, and praised by the leadership of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change. Making climate change real to the lay public involves understanding how it will alter communities, business, governments and societies. Braasch’s visuals help society understand that the future will be very different from the world of the last century. He will share his breathtaking imagery and begin the conversation on what kinds of rapid innovation in technology are possible to tackle the problem.

A panel of distinguished board members from the sustainability entities across U-M’s campus will offer their thoughts on what can we do, how fast can we do it, how will we benefit.
